Real, Systemic Reparations

If our arts and culture sector had an accessible and resilient funding infrastructure, there would be real reparations These are workers issues and human rights issues. It’s not just going to be for artists is not just going to be from one foundation, it’s going to be systemic.

It’s happening in coalitions with domestic workers, Uber and Lyft drivers, and restaurant hospitality. The future of work where we’re all moving toward these gig economies who are disproportionately impacted by these systems problems.

It has to go beyond private philanthropy, I mean it has to be a public funding issue.
